History of Costa Del Mar
Costa Del Mar was founded in 1983 by a group of avid anglers who were frustrated with the lack of high-quality, polarized sunglasses on the market. They set out to create a line of sunglasses that would provide superior visual clarity and protection for outdoor enthusiasts. The company quickly gained a reputation for producing some of the best polarized sunglasses on the market, and has since become a leader in the industry.

Costa recently celebrated 35 years of providing the world's best polarized sunglasses. Since Costa was born on the water, Costa is dedicated to help protect what they love – the beach! Costa—previously known as Costa del Mar—was founded in Florida, created by fishermen for fishermen in order to design sunglasses to support their fishing lifestyle. The entrepreneurs at Costa were frustrated with the sunglasses on the market at the time, which fit poorly and did not filter glare coming off of the water. Their mission was to create a new brand of sunglasses that would solve these problems and still look cool.
